Satellite TV is the fastest growing market segment for watching TV programming (be it news, shows, sports, or movies), and as a likely consumer in this market, you want to make sure that you get the best equipment for the job. Several pieces of equipment are vital to watching satellite TV, and you certainly don't want to skimp out on any of them. Most people certainly think of the dish when it comes to satellite TV, and everyone knows that their television set itself is very important. However, the right satellite TV receiver can make all the difference while a poor one can ruin your experience.

Renting and Purchasing

When you order a satellite TV subscription package from your provider, they will likely offer you a basic one that's included in your package for free. However, more advanced ones with more features (and more robust features at that) will often cost more money each month, and the selection is often limited. Depending on the amount of time you spend with a particular package though, this might be the cheaper route, and it's beneficial to note that many consumers are perfectly happy with the satellite TV receiver that they have (because if they aren't, then they upgrade).

However, many consumers want to own their very own satellite TV receiver, and here the differences really open up. When purchasing a receiver, there are many more options to choose from, and you should really look over all of the features to make sure that you're getting the right one. In satellite TV receivers, many people look for the amount and type of various connectors, such as HDMI, component, and S-Video cable connectors. This can be very important when setting up your home theater. Many people like to use the television's built in speakers for everyday watching and surround sound speakers for movies and their favorite shows, and other circumstances like this one make connectors a vital part of any satellite TV receiver.

Many people also enjoy the use of DVR (digital video recording) capabilities in satellite TV receivers, but these will definitely cost more than non-DVR receivers (by several hundred dollars if the other features are similar). DVR simply means that you can record programs on a schedule, and the show or movie will be stored on a hard drive so you can watch the program whenever you want to. There are many different options when you're choosing a receiver, and for optimized compatibility and performance, take the time to thoroughly cover the features and cost ratio of each model. You'll be happy you did, and satellite TV receivers can become the centerpiece of your home theater system instead of just being a necessary piece of equipment.

In most cases satellite TV reception is better than the picture available from cable television are far superior to over the air broadcasts with very little issues with interference. Since all signals from satellite providers is in digital format, they are immune to many of the influences on analog television and are not dependent on the quality of the wiring used for cable. The biggest influence on satellite TV reception is weather and unless there is heavy cloud cover due to a storm, the signal will still pierce the atmosphere.

There has been a lot of talk about how the line of sight signal requirement of satellite television is hindered by clouds, but the reality is unless the clouds are exceptionally thick, like those during a major storm, they have little effect on satellite TV reception. There may be the occasional scramble of the signal that lasts only a few second, but for most users of satellite TV reception is seldom an issue.

Additionally, most cable companies receive many of their signals by satellite from the channels they host and if the satellite TV reception is interrupted in the are in close proximity to the cable company's receivers, they will also be experiencing the same type of satellite TV reception interruption.

Consistent Line Of Sight Signal Required

There are some physical challenges to good satellite TV reception, since they require a direct line of site between the satellite and the antenna. Trees, houses and other types of obstruction will block the signal, rendering the system useless. Installing a satellite antenna in the winter takes some preplanning. The signal my be picked up close to trees that during the summer are filled with leaves, effectively blocking the satellite TV reception.

Today, both major providers of satellite television services offer free installation of their systems, including the mounting and aligning of the antenna. Prior to mounting the antenna the installer should be able to tell if the satellite TV reception will be available due to surrounding buildings and landscaping. The homeowner should insure they check the available line of sight before any holes are made in the house.

Those with high definition televisions will need to have a receiver capable of high definition. Understand that simply because the satellite TV reception is bringing in a digital signal does not mean it is processing it for high definition. It may require a different type of set top box, but currently both providers offer them for High-def users.

With all the complaints about cable television's service, price and channel selections, there are many people cutting the cord to their television provider and moving their television entertainment to satellite services. With only two major providers of satellite TV reviews of both are going to be important to anyone considering making the switch. The thing to realize that in most instances the quality of the picture beaming down to the home satellite is going to be close to equal, so potential subscribers may want to look at the satellite TV reviews for the companies' subtle differences.

The two major providers DirecTV and Dish Network both offer to supply a free dish and a four room receiver system as well as free installation provided the subscriber agrees to a one year contract. Most of the satellite TV reviews show one might be slightly less expensive than the other in their basic service for 40 channels, but those wanting local channels will find the more expensive service offers them free, as part of the monthly service.

When considering which of the two major companies to choose from, some of the things that may com into play include the digital video recorders they use, as well as their customer satisfaction rating, bonus offers and installation time. Most satellite TV reviews show both companies with a top ranked rating for customer satisfaction but, of course there are going to be a few disgruntled customers on both services.

Comparing Prices Requires Comparing Services

When looking at satellite TV reviews for prices, make sure you look at everything that is included with the monthly subscription charge. The number of channels may be impressive, but only if they offer the types of programming in which you are interested. For example, if you are an avid fan of home shopping, the services that offer 20 shop at home networks may be important. Music and satellite radio are also included in both service, one with Sirius and one with XM and if you have a reference to one over the other.

Sports channels and movies are included in both services, but some packages are available only on one and determining which ones will better satiate your sports and movies appetite can be deduced through reading the satellite TV reviews. Both services offer digital programming, but not all receivers are capable of deciphering high definition television. Regardless which service you choose, the receiver will have to be capable of receiving high-def service.

To watch satellite TV satellite positions must be in line with the satellite's geosynchronous orbit around the Earth. When a satellite is launched, it is destined to be placed about 23,300 miles above the Earth in an orbit that retains its relationship to a particular ground location. Unlike orbiting satellites that can sometimes be seen moving in the night sky, a satellite in a geosynchronous orbit will simply appear as a light, similar to a star, with no change in position.

When installing satellite TV satellite positions are considered in how the dish is pointed at the sky. Generally, the dish is aimed at the southern sky, but the position of the dish on the ground will determine how high it points and whether it is aimed to the left or right in relation to the location of the base position. DirecTV has 15 operational satellites in the sky while Dish Network has 10, making it possible for anyone that wants their services to establish a line of site link to the satellite TV satellite positions.

In some areas due to the location of tall buildings, heavy tree cover and with hills an mountains being in the way, the line of site between the satellite TV satellite positions and the ground dish antenna, reception may not be possible. Heavy cloud cover can also cause a temporary loss of service, but for the most part, it takes some really heavy cloud cover to interfere with the signal.

Aiming Dish Has To Be Nearly Exact

If you consider the satellite TV satellite positions but looking at a ball and holding a straight edge against the ball, it will become obvious how line of sight signal can be affected by only a slight variation in the receiving dish's position. It has to point nearly directly at the satellite in order to receive the strongest signal at is nearly impossible, due to the satellite TV satellite positions for one dish to receive signal from two different satellites.

To better understand the importance of aiming the dish at the satellite TV satellite positions, take two pieces of string into the yard and lay them sided by side. Anchor one end of both strings to the same point and then choose a spot only 100 feet away. With both strings at the end spot, move one of them about a foot to one side and then look at their relationship at the starting point. The one sixteenth of an inch at the start can be a foot at the end, consider what a difference that one sixteenth of and inch will be 23,300 feet later.

When many folks first start viewing television on a satellite TV schedules may seem a little confusing. However, programming is pretty much consistent with other types of television services for the same programs. Programs on satellite are the same programs on the same networks or the same channels as other choices, only the channel numbers will be different on your satellite channel selector. For example, if you enjoy a weekly show that is on NBC, the program will on at the same time, on the satellite channel that carries the NBC programming.

Nearly all satellite TV schedules are available as well through the service's on screen channel guide and are viewable by channel. Programs can also be searched by title, and every time that program is on can be found in the satellite TV schedules. Most independent programming from broadcasters such as the comedy channel, the science fiction network as well cooking shows and home shopping networks will all be available on most satellite services and if subscribed will be seen at the same time and on the same day as they would be seen on cable television.

To watch the programs it is simply a matter of the finding the program on the corresponding channel on the satellite channel selector. Similar to switching cable companies, the same channels will be offer, just at different tuner locations. For satellite TV schedules there is also a printed guide to programming, usually published monthly.

Original Programming Not Available Off Satellite

Some of the networks such as Home Box Office and Cinemax have their own production companies and offer original programming. These are available only to subscribers of those networks on cable and satellite systems. The big difference with satellite TV schedules may be in some areas where events are blacked out. With a satellite service, the program may be available on a channel that is not blocked out through the satellite service and will not be available on cable or on a broadcast free on air channel.

There is no real secret to deciphering satellite TV schedules, the challenge is knowing what network you are looking for, usually by name, and finding the corresponding location on the satellite's channel selector. Essentially, most channels on a cable network are also available on satellite and the time and day of the week will be the same. The biggest challenge may be in remembering which of the possible 235 channels it is on.

JobCrusher.com is an online mentoring and coaching program run by Mike Filsaime, Eric Louviere, and Dan Hatfield. Originally opened in June of 2007, Job Crusher brought in a core group of Beta members to help create content by participating in webinars and on the forums. After several months of building up a lot of value in the form of content, Job Crusher was promoted heavily to the Internet Marketing community starting back in September of 2007.

Within Job Crusher, there are multiple training modules including the Fast Track to $4,000 Per Month program, Job Crusher Copywriting Clinics, Expert Guest Speakers, Look Over My Shoulder Program, amongst others.

One of the unique aspects we found about Job Crusher was the high touch element of the owners and members. For instance, the ability to have your copy professionally critiqued is something we did not find elsewhere. Many members express a very warm and friendly environment as something they find unique about Job Crusher.

Another unique aspect of Job Crusher is found in their tutorials and content surrounding CPA marketing. CPA stands for (cost per action) and is a form of affiliate marketing in which affiliates can earn a commission without necessarily having to refer an actual sale. There are not many communities out there online that have this type of training. Much of Job Crushers content is focused around helping its members start generating cash online as quickly as possible so they can build up to bigger and better things with their online businesses.

Members are very interactive with each other discussing everything from their latest sales letters, to advertising strategies, to mindset. In fact, the founders of Job Crusher often stress the importance of proper mindset in achieving ones goals.

We didnt turn up much dirt on Job Crusher. Most of the members seem happy with the service all around. It seems to be a decent community to learn in for beginner to intermediate marketers.

If you’re reading this article, then you’re probably looking for the best deals on satellite TV services. Different companies offer a diverse package of satellite TV services. All you have to do is know what you want and find out which works for you best.

Know What You Want And Need

Knowing what kind of satellite TV services you require is very important. Like all decisions, it is something to be mulled over. Look over brochures and the company websites for offers and an itinerary of services offered.

Read the company profile. There are independent reviews regarding the company’s services. Ask people who have satellite TV service regarding their experiences. Create a survey and post it on the internet.

Don’t Be Fooled By Marketing

Sometimes people get “wowed” by the satellite TV service provider’s massive marketing ploy. A ploy is merely a strategy to lure you into thinking that your wants are addressed; but what really matters is the person’s need. Make sure that your needs are prioritized, make a list and check it off as you go.

A good and reputable satellite TV service provider must have a website; most of the time these companies, offer deals online. These deals are not offered if you go directly to their office, so take a look at their website. But be careful though read the fine print and watch out for loopholes! See sometimes there are hidden agendas to the deals.

Call Customer Service

Customer service is really what they are, to serve customers, and answer any queries one might have. A very good satellite TV service provider has very good customer service, so don’t hesitate to call them and ask questions and have them address all your concerns. A good gauge of the company’s service is also by their customer service attitude. Look at how well they answer your questions, and handle any other concerns you have; this is how you will also see if they will be able to listen to your future concerns.

Making Your Choice

Now here’s the clincher. The following are questions you have to have answered before making a decision. Have you made a list of satellite TV service providers? Did you write all the services they offer? Now compare the pros and cons. Check off which satellite TV service provider address your needs. Then you’re ready to make your decision.

Your probably thinking “My gosh! Why is choosing a satellite TV service provider seem so tedious!” Actually it really isn’t. You wouldn’t want to be stuck with bad satellite TV right? So take your time and heed my advice.

It's a fact that most American homes have several TVs. Gone are the days when the entire family crowded around one TV set to watch whatever Mom and Dad wanted to watch – these days, everyone in the family can have their own TV and choose their own programming. While Mom and Dad catch up on the new crime investigation show, Bobby can watch the football game and Jenny can catch the latest nature special.

Since Mom, Dad, Bobby and Jenny are serious about their television, they make good use of a satellite TV signal splitter to send the signal to several TVs throughout their home. The satellite TV signal splitter allows the incoming satellite signal to be broken up into several parts and sent to several ports, meaning that each TV in the house can be tuned to a different channel.

Watch Different Programs Throughout the House...Or Not!

There is more than one way to use a satellite TV signal splitter. You can have the satellite TV signal splitter placed in such a way that the same signal will go to all TVs in the home. This may be useful if you want to monitor and have some control over what your children watch in other parts of the house.

You can also have the satellite TV signal splitter installed so that a different program can be watched on each of the televisions in the home. This is a setup that is more desirable to a lot of households, since everyone has their own tastes. However, since each TV is independently controlled, it's harder to keep an eye on what is being watched in other rooms.

However you decide to set up your satellite TV signal splitter, there may be additional costs involved. You may be charged an additional fee for each TV that is hooked up to your satellite signal. However, these fees vary from company to company and may not always apply. It's a good idea to get in contact with your satellite TV provider to find out what their policy is on using a satellite TV signal splitter.

Additionally, there is the chance of harming your satellite equipment by doing this job yourself. If you are not experienced, or if you have an agreement with your satellite company that they are responsible for all modifications, it's best to ask them to install your satellite TV signal splitter instead of doing it yourself.

If you want a cost effective alternative to paying fifty or more dollars a month to watch high definition content, then you can turn to your PC. As long as you have a high speed connection such as DSL, cable, or fiber optics, then you can stream thousands of different television channels straight to your PC. For a small up front fee of forty dollars or so, you can entirely skip the subscription based deal that will have you paying fifty dollars or more each and every single month. All you need is satellite TV software, and soon you'll be watching high definition content on your PC.

Pay Now, Save Later

Satellite TV software will run you forty or fifty dollars for any commercial version, but you only need to compare that to major satellite TV providers to see how much you'll save in the first month. With major providers, you'll have to wait at least a few days before a technician can come to your house to install the receiver, and installations can become costly depending on the layout of your home. Then, you get to look forward to paying for that TV content every single month that you have the subscription. Satellite TV software is easy and intuitive to install – with a few mouse clicks, you'll have the software installed and you can start watching TV and movies. Not only that, but you don't have to have any monthly fees to look forward to either.

So what kind of content can you expect to watch with satellite TV software? Expect to see all the new hit movies coming right out of Hollywood. Find all your favorite TV shows. Just because you're not paying top dollar doesn't mean these shows aren't available to you. With satellite TV software, you can also watch thousands of foreign channels, bringing you some of the best shows and movies from different cultures and news from around the world that hasn't been filtered by the big American news networks. Simply put, you can't find this amount of content with any other type of television.

If you're looking for a cheaper way to watch TV than to order a subscription package from a cable or satellite provider, then check out satellite TV software for your computer. You'll get way more content this way, and from more sources than are available to you through major companies which limit your choices. Also, installation is much easier and anyone can do it – no more paying those same companies outrageous prices to come install equipment in your house (which you often have to pay another fee monthly for) – with a few clicks of your mouse, you'll be watching TV. For high definition shows and movies and the largest selection of content available, check out satellite TV software.
