What Are The Benefits Of Homeschooling

Benefits of homeschooling

Lets take a look at some of the points as to why we would like to have John and Vickie learn from home rather than at a public school. Lets start off with some of the low hanging fruit or lower benefits but still very nice benefits, for instance you do not have to pack a lunch anymore for your child, you do not have to go into your childs room at six thirty in the morning and try to get them motivated to get dressed and get ready for school, you do not have to read off all the normal things you tell your child before you send them off to school.

Moving on to some of the more important benefits of homeschooling your children. Homeschooling actually will give you much more supervision over the things that can happen at public schools that could directly affect your children. Gaining supervision of your childs development is one of the best benefits of homeschooling that i can see. You are the only one that will make the choices as to what you think your child needs to learn or do and will no longer be something that you do not have a lot of visibility to. Being able to decide the homeschool curriculum that best fits your childrens learning needs and/or the interests of the child is probably one of the best benefits of homeschooling.

Today there is approx 20 children to 1 teacher in the class, this is a very high ratio when you compare to homeschooling. One on one attention is one other benefit of homeschooling that your child will recieve when homeschooling. Ok, Karen needs more work in math, all you have to do is add more time to math and maybe less time in english or whatever you choose as there is not any set class times for teaching a subject like there is in most of your public schools. One thing that you are able to do homeschooling that you cannot in public schools is remove some of the anxiety a child might have by not getting enough time in a subject in which he/she needs more help with, unlike when you are homeschooling you can just adjust your childs schedule to give them more time in a day in that particular subject. Remember that the time it takes for a child to learn a subject will depend on the every different child.

Just about all the steps of the learning curriculum become a family type activity, and this is fantastic for the family. Another thing that you will really love about homeschooling your child is you get to take them on field trips where you will both learn and have a wonderful time, and you will be doing experiments with them, which can be very interesting, but all then this also equals you are spending much more “quality time” with you child and i believe that this also brings a family much closer.

Your child not having to put up with the negative peer pressure within the public school systems is one of the largest benefits of homeschooling. One of the great things you see in a great teacher is someone who knows how to keep a childs interest and keeping them moving ahead, and because you know your child better than anyone you will be able plan your childs sessions to keep them interested and moving ahead. for instance you might have an hour of math with your child and then right afterwards you might go on a fieldtrip to a zoo or museum, so now the childs learning becomes much more fun.

One thing you must understand about your children is the fact that the learning style is different from child to child as some children learn very well by writing and others might learn quicker by reading and still others are visual children and need to see objects in order to learn faster. Another benefit of homeschooling that a lot of people like is you also get to teach your children what you believe both moraly and religously and the child will not be confused as some get in public schools because with you homeschooling your child there is no difference between what you are teaching your child and what is also being practiced in your home.

In the end there are many many parents today that are very unhappy with our public schools are being run. When it come to public schools most people are on one of two sides, some believe that the child is not getting enough of an education, and the other side which is those that believe the child is getting overworked in scool. Other heavy issues that parents are worrying about are the ehtics and discipline that are being taught in public schools. I believe that homeschooling in the enviroment that we all live in today is the very best way to educate your child and prepare them for life, but this task that you are taking on requires comittment by both you and your child, but most importantl you must understand the actual time that you are going to have to put into your childs eduction homeschooling them, because it takes a lot of time, if you do not have the time that it requires to benefit your childs homescooling education, you should not attempt to as this only fails.
